  • HOW DO I BOOK AN APPOINTMENT?
    Making an appointment to see one of our Clinicians is easy! You can call us at 416-538-3883 or click on the "Book Online" tab. Please be aware of our cancellation policy before booking.
  • AM I ABLE TO GET DIRECT BILLING FOR MY APPOINTMENT?
    In short, YES! We do direct billing for insured members and secondary plans where allowable for most insurance providers, this includes: - Sunlife - Canada Life - Empire Life - Blue Cross - Greenshield - Manulife & more Make sure to fill out the Extended Health & Insurance Form prior to your visit and our reception will be able to process the direct billing during your session.   • WHAT IS THE CANCELLATION POLICY?
    If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment for any reason, please provide a 24-hour notice via phone (a voice message is required where pick-up is unavailable) or email. This ensures enough time to arrange for a new booking to fill your spot. Otherwise a cancellation fee will be charged by the end of the day. If you do not show up for your scheduled appointment, similarly, a cancellation fee will be charged by the end of the day. We will always contact you by call or email, where pickup is unavailable, before charging the cancellation fee. Please note: If you do not receive an email confirming the canceled appointment and/or still see the appointment in your Jane schedule, the appointment has not been successfully canceled. We understand that life is unpredictable and several extenuating circumstances may arrive that prevent you from attending your appointment. Thus, depending on the specific circumstance, an exception may be granted on a case-by-case basis. We are here to help you and we want you to be able to attend your scheduled appointments. The cancellation policy is to safeguard our clinicians’ and other patients’ time, not to make a profit!
  • DO I NEED A DOCTOR'S REFERRAL TO BOOK AN APPOINTMENT?
    A doctor’s referral is not required to book an appointment. However, It is possible that your insurance company may require you to see a physician and obtain a referral. Feel free to contact your Insurance for more information on your specific plan.
  • WHAT SHOULD I DO BEFORE MY FIRST VISIT?
    To save time, we ask you to complete the online intake form, health insurance form and consent (if you have insurance and want us to direct bill for you) and covid-19 screening form that was sent to you, through email.
  • WHAT FORMS DO I NEED TO FILL OUT?
    After you book in, we will send you an Intake Form via email. If you do not receive it, you can always fill and submit one here. The more detail you fill in, the better the Physio will be able to assist your needs and goals. We also require that you fill in a COVID-19 screening form for every visit. This will also be sent to you on your booking.
  • WHAT SHOULD I WEAR TO MY APPOINTMENT?
    We advise you to dress in comfortable clothings, such as a t-shirt, shorts & sneakers.
  • WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?
    Have your Extended Health Insurance card & information ready if you opt for direct billing. Also bring your doctor's requisition if applicable. Please dress comfortably. Movement will be required!
  • IS THERE ANY PARKING?
    There is street parking directly in front of the clinic on Bathurst or free 1-hour parking Markham st.
  • WHAT WILL A PHYSIOTHERAPY SESSION LOOK LIKE?
    The Physiotherapist will conduct a series of orthopaedic tests to assess movement. Some of the movements will be performed by you, others, by the physiotherapist. Assessment involves the reproduction of your symptoms for diagnosis and treating planning. Please do not hesitate to tell the Physiotherapist anything that you are not comfortable doing. The initial visit will include both assessment and treatment.
  • WHAT WILL AN CHIROPRACTIC SESSION LOOK LIKE?
    The Chiropractor will ask a series of questions and conduct assessments to test your muscle strength, reflexes, and range of motion. He may feel your spine, move your joints and watch the way you walk. Based off the information provided, your clinician will create an individual treatment plan followed by 20 – 30 minutes of treatment. Please do not hesitate to tell the Chiropractor anything that you are not comfortable in.
  • WHAT WILL A MASSAGE THERAPY SESSION LOOK LIKE?
    The Massage Therapist will begin by learning about your health history, determine how your body is feeling and your expectation from this session.Your Massage Therapist will use various methods/ modalities to reduce pain, tension, improve movement, improve flexibility and relaxation. Please do not hesitate to tell the Massage Therapist anything you need to ensure your session is as comfortable as possible.
  • WHY DOES MASSAGE THERAPY HAVE HST?
    While registered massage therapists are considered health care practitioners under Ontario Regulated Health Professions Act (1991), massage therapy is not included in the definition of health services that are exempt from the application of the HST. HST will be applied at check out.
  • WHAT WILL AN ACUPUNCTURE SESSION LOOK LIKE?
    The initial assessment will consist of 20~30 minutes of assessment and brief explanation of TCM. Based off the information provided, your clinician will make a TCM-based diagnosis and form an individualized treatment plan followed by 30~40 minutes of treatment. Please do not hesitate to tell the Acupuncturist anything that you are not comfortable in.
  • WHAT WILL A PSYCHOTHERAPY SESSION LOOK LIKE?
    Psychotherapy is unique to each client and therapist. At the beginning of the session, the psychotherapist will invite you to speak openly about your current state - recent events in your life and your feelings about them, your relationships, or progress in meeting your goals. They may use a variety of therapy modalities to help you build coping strategies and find new perspectives on issues you find challenging. Some psychotherapists give “homework” for after the session, which may include forms of self care or steps towards your goals.
  • WHAT CAN A PSYCHOTHERAPIST DO?
    A psychotherapist can use a variety of therapies and services to help change behaviour, teach coping strategies, and improve overall mental health and well-being. A psychotherapist cannot provide prescriptions for medication or diagnosis for mental disorders, as these services are under the jurisdiction of psychiatrists and psychologists respectively.
  • CAN PSYCHOTHERAPY BE DIRECT BILLED TO MY INSURANCE?
    Unfortunately, most major extended health insurances don’t allow direct-billing for psychotherapy services at this time. We can, however, provide a receipt so that you may submit to your insurance yourself.
  • DO YOU OFFER GROUP, FAMILY, OR COUPLES THERAPY?
    Unfortunately no, we only provide individual psychotherapy for the moment.
